I'd say it's safe to say a good guess for the community is less than 400 at any given time. I don't need to look at sales to know how the sales are going for this game.

Lets be realistic.Would you pay 40 bucks for a digital chess game? How do we know the guy on the other end is actually a famous chess player if we are paying for a sub anyway and he's not just giving someone the "ok" to take his place or sit-in?If chess was one of the primary games I played on a computer, I probably would, but good luck finding that kind of person these days. If I want AI, I would settle for the cell phone to save 40 bucks as well as any casual who isn't an all-time pro. Digital things are convenient to a certain extent, but the experience of playing a social game IRL, is 100 times better than any digital AI can give you, as well as having human interaction. The other thing is the price, I'd rather get a decent chessboard for 20 bucks if I was a casual player, and go sit in a coffee shop around the corner with the older guys that have been playing for decades. If you want to hold those your events, thats great, but I would recommend not making it multiplayer requirement, as you just lost two sales, and who knows how many others see this and run the other way. You need to be competitive about this, and people who just want to play a simple game of chess could care less about "celebs". The graphics are nice in this game, but I could care less when I could play chess multiplayer online, like Yahoo, or on my cellphone with multiplayer for free. It's hard enough to get a online chess community going. A base game should not have a subscription to play multiplayer, especially a chess game. I won't getting it because of that either, good thing he mentioned something. Events could cost money, not base multiplayer, it's not just Cogent who disagrees.
